The Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah launched multiple retaliatory waves of missiles at Tel Aviv and central Israel early Friday, marking one of the southernmost attacks on Israeli territory since the latest round of hostilities began, with no injuries or direct ground impacts recorded, according to military and emergency officials.
The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported from the overnight bombardment, which the IDF described as one of Hezbollah’s deepest penetrations into Israeli airspace in the current conflict.
The escalation comes amid a broader confrontation between Israel and the Axis of Resistance, triggered by a joint U.S.-Israeli offensive against Iran.
Tehran has demanded that any ceasefire must explicitly include Lebanon, referring to a truce agreed with Washington. Both the United States and Israel swiftly rejected the Islamic Republic’s position.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government announced it would initiate direct negotiations with Lebanon aimed at disarming Hezbollah instead. The United States has offered to host those talks. However, the Shia militia has rejected the premise, arguing that continued Israeli strikes on Lebanese soil constitute a violation of the existing ceasefire.
